Fellows bring their nationally recruited talents to regional nonprofit, innovation, business, and government organizations to complete projects, move initiatives forward and fill capacity needs for six intensive weeks. Each Fellow will support at least four different organizations – one in each sector – during their Coro year. 

Organizations provide a project/needs description in their application and Coro matches a Fellow with the project/needs. Fellows can work any schedule and organizations are encouraged to include Fellows in all staff expectations. However, Fellows are required to attend Coro training each week from 8-6pm Mondays and 5:30-9:30pm Thursdays. These sessions continue to build the diverse talents and skills of the Fellow and enhance their impact in your organization. 

Coro Fellows will also work with three organizations/projects annually that span three months. Please reach out to Coro staff if you are interested in being considered for a longer-term Fellows engagement project.

Public Allies are placed at a nonprofit or government agency to help create, improve, and expand that organization’s services. Activities are in alignment with one or more of AmeriCorps’ focus areas: Disaster Preparedness, Education, Environmental Stewardship, Healthy Futures, Economic Opportunity, and Veterans & Military Families.
